Dan Romik

An Invitation to MadHat and Mathematical Typesetting

About the Book

This book describes MadHat, a desktop app for creating beautiful documents and presentations.  Author Dan Romik, spent several years building this next-generation mathematical typesetting software system. Madhat aims to combine the rich features and high typesetting quality of more established systems like TeX/LaTeX with more modern digital publishing and presentation capabilities such as animations and other dynamic content. In this book, he describes MadHat in detail and lays out his vision for what a modern mathematical typesetting should enable its users to do, and how MadHat aims to fulfill that vision.

The Madhat software and further information is available at madhat.design.
